Valmiki Seva Sangham, located in Chinnaganjam, Prakasam District, is dedicated to serving marginalized communities such as Harijana and Girijana, without regard to caste or religious affiliation. Established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 as No. 101 of 1981, it operates with a committee comprising a President, Secretary, and five members. Since its inception, the Sangham has focused on various social welfare initiatives.
In our unwavering commitment to serving the underprivileged, we have established a Food Distribution Program that ensures no one in our community goes hungry. Our program is especially active during various occasions and events.we organizes regular food drives aimed at distributing essential food items to underserved individuals and families.
In 1994, we received approval to run a home for the elderly, accommodating 25 aged persons. By April 1996, we secured a grant to establish a Computer Training Institute under the NORAD Scheme, benefiting 60 women. Also Provided medical treatment, medicines and general checkup for many underserved individuals.
In our early years, the committee met on June 5, 1981, and unanimously decided to request a grant-in-aid from the Director of Women’s Development & Child Welfare, A.P., Hyderabad. This request was approved, and we received a 90% government grant, with the remaining 10% funded by our association. This enabled us to provide boarding, hostel facilities.
We provide emotional, social, and medical support to ensure our elderly residents feel loved and cared for.
